I hold a Master of Music from Carnegie Mellon University and a BA in Music from Duke University, and have been teaching professionally for over two decades.

In my earlier years, I nurtured a love for artistic expression as an award-winning classical performer. Later, I played in rock and pop bands and honed the ability to improvise -- an exciting musical journey that has transformed the way I approach the instrument.

As a mentor, I draw from a lifetime in the musical realm as well as 20+ years in business and entrepreneurship. I enjoy guiding those who may not consider themselves "creative" to discover a new side of themselves.
