About Leslie
I'm a pianist, educator and mentor with a passion for elevating life through creativity.
I hold a Master of Music from Carnegie Mellon University and a BA in Music from Duke University, and have been teaching professionally for over twenty years.
I nurtured my early love for artistic expression as an award-winning classical performer. Later, I played in rock and pop bands and honed the ability to improvise -- an exciting musical journey that has transformed the way I approach the instrument.
One of my greatest joys is guiding others to develop their creative potential, both within and beyond the lesson experience.
As a mentor and motivator, I draw from a lifetime in the musical realm as well as a decade in management and operations. I served as General Manager of the University of Virginia faculty club, and helped to build a local Philadelphia music school into a regional chain in my roles as School Director and Director of Operations.
